Depart the Riverboat Dock at the Port of Echuca on the paddle steamer Emmylou. Expereince a relaxed trip along the Upper Murray River amongst the Red Gum Forest and wildlife, while enjoying locally produced food and wine.
This is an unforgettable cruise aboard the only authentic wood fire paddle steamer in the world that offers overnight cruises. You will enjoy chef prepared meals from local produce in the onboard restaurant with open air dining. The locally produced wine is a great compliment to the gourmet meals. Learn about the local area with Captains expert commentary and an Eco Cruise. Visit local wineries, enjoy a campfire, meet new people - enjoy the PS Emmylou.
The PS Emmylou departs from the Port of Euchca.
2 Night Cruises Depart 6.00pm - Boarding commences 30 minutes before departure. Check-in: 57 Murray Esplanade, Echuca.
DAY 1 - Port of Echuca to Shinbone Alley
PS Emmylou departs historic Echuca, the Paddlesteamer Capital of Australia and heads upriver past the impressive Echuca wharf. Tonight, enjoy the sunset over the river as you enjoy a delicious five course welcome dinner. As we cruise under floodlight towards our turning point, you are sure to see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, wombats, egrets and many other species of birds. After dinner, we pull into Shinbone Alley where you can enjoy a drink around a riverside campfire.DAY 2 - Shinbone Alley to Layfield Lane
This morning we cruise to the historical Moama wharf where you will enjoy breakfast right on the river overlooking Horseshoe Lagoon, one of the Murray’s 7000 wetlands where you can take a leisurely morning walk on the raised boardwalk overlooking the lagoon where you will see many native birds, animals, plants and fish.
Here we commence your half day excursion travelling 30 minutes to the small town of Barmah. Enjoy a traditional Australian morning tea riverside before departing on your 1.5 hours Eco Cruise, where you can get up close to Australian nature and wildlife. Nowhere else in the world can you experience such timeless, natural beauty and peace as when you are gliding through the World-Heritage listed Barmah Wetlands aboard the MV Kingfisher. You’ll understand why they have been named “ Wetlands of International Importance” as you slip quietly across the water in the dappled shade of towering gums of the world’s largest single stand of River Red Gum. Kingfisher travels the narrowest section of the Murray River, between Albury and the ocean called the ‘Narrows’ or the ‘Barmah Choke’ where the river travels at almost twice the normal speed.
We then visit the beautiful Cape Horn Winery overlooking the Murray River. Enjoy complimentary tastings with the owners before a relaxing lunch after which you have time for a walk through the vineyard or just relax with a glass of wine on the lawn overlooking the Murray River. Back on-board we spend the rest of the day cruising downriver before pulling into our evening mooring at Layfield Lane. Here you can take a late afternoon swim in the river, go bushwalking or relax with a pre-dinner drink. Tonight, enjoy an Australian BBQ and campfire.DAY 3 - Layfield Lane to Port of Echuca
Wake to an early morning bush walk or relax over breakfast as we cruise back to Echuca arriving at 9.30am where we reluctantly say farewell. River Cruise Approximate 60km.

Because I had no other expectations...... I could probably say I received more than expected.
So many crew....my goodness....and nothing was a trouble. They presented as very supportive of each other and not a bad word at all.
If you went hungry then it was your own fault. I did wonder what happened to the left overs as there was a fair bit at times.
The Princess is beautiful.
Could there be anything more.......maybe high back lounge chairs (easier to snooze in)? Someone to do massages? More fishing?
Traveling alone, I felt quite safe. I'm pleased I traveled in July as the river traffic was very quiet....just the Proud Mary doing her thing.
Thanks to all for making it happen.
Secondly; All the crew were very pleasant and cheerful and most accommodating in their individual roles, and nothing we required was too hard a task for them.
Thirdly; and probably most important the FOOD, every meal was absolutely delicious we could not falter any thing that came out of the Galley.
Thanks Chris & Heather
I enjoyed every minute of the trip. The Murray Princess is a terrific boat, my accommodation was excellent, the food outstanding and the staff super friendly and efficient.
I have no criticism of the trip at all and will be back to book a seven day cruise in the near future.
The booking process was very easy and very accommodating.
We also enjoyed the live entertainment provided. A very talented entertainer.
Thank you for a great trip.
While we did not know what to expect we certainly were not disappointed. As retired farmers we enjoyed the shore activities (shearing shed and sheep dogs etc), and the BBQ night was different.
Thank you to the crew who were all very friendly, making our time on board very pleasant indeed.
Maureen & Eric
& made the cruise a very pleasurable experience.
Sadly some of our friends couldn't be with us due to illness but our group appreciated the time together in such a wonderful environment
Also but definitely not least we had a great time on Kangaroo Island, organisation was spot on. But the highlight was due to our bus driver & tour guide Albie, a fountain of knowledge
Great speaker, very organised but also tolerant & kind, couldn't speak highly enough of his expertise.
Thank you Yvonne & Brian
Regards Val & GAil February 2018
We met some lovely passengers and the river was very beautiful.
The cruise itself was excellent and we were so pleased we booked the 7 day option. Your crew were outstanding and from the outset we felt we were like one big, happy family. The day trip to the Barossa was wonderful and our guide was superb. In fact we have been extolling the virtues of this cruise with all we have met since our return. I cannot think of any way in which the whole experience could have been improved upon and we would like to thank you for the wonderful holiday and many happy memories you gave us.
Christine and Ronald Arckless
The entertainer was amazing - we expected a country and western style singer and were happy with that, but his repertoire and ability to impersonate were first class.
Staff were very helpful, friendly and versatile.
Thank you for an excellent experience.
Bill & Chris December 2017
Regards Pauline December 2017
We were glad we did the 7 day cruise as the Figure 8 route gave us a good insight into the Murray, especially the overnight moorings and the various shore excursions. Whilst some us had visited the Barossa previously, the day trip took us to different places and the guide’s expert commentary created more interest. The facilities on board were excellent as were the meals – and the bar! Of course “Murray Princess” is a truly unique vessel and that added to the ambience.
Thanks for a great time,
Regards, Cynthia & Jim. August 2017
Our cabin was marvellous - being wheelchair accessible, it was twice as large as the normal cabins, had 2 armchairs and so was much more comfortable. And its location was also easy to get to.
So, thank you all for arranging for us to have such a wonderful time.
Jann & Sylvia August 2017
Some friends are already thinking of doing a similar trip on our recommendation.
Lois July 2017
II hope we can come back another day.

Thelma June 2017
From our point of view, the cruise had 73 passengers, which was very good and made it easy to mix with lots of people, yet have plenty of room to move round and sit etc. We had a very enjoyable and truly memorable trip. As sisters, we shared a lot of laughs, drank lots of pre-dinner cocktails and had a great time. We would highly recommend the cruise.
All emails, phone calls and booking services were very well handled, with plenty of information and answers to our questions.
Pauline & Diane June 2017
I must also mention our tireless Cruise Director, who managed to get us all organised and on time to our various stopovers and activities, always with a smile.🙂
The cruises offered in the smaller boats were informative and very up close to the cliffs, birds and flora which was wonderful.....great photo opportunities.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed our trip up the beautiful Murray and met some lovely people along the way.
A very big THANK YOU to all the staff and crew who worked tirelessly to provide and cater to all our needs and wants and make everything run smoothly and efficiently......they are all amazing!!
Lynne May 2017
We also did the 2 day Kangaroo Island option and felt this was very good, busy to make the best use of the time but, apart from the cold wind at times, most enjoyable.
Ed and Faye May 2017
Some of our highlights – it’s sometimes the little things
For me one of the highlights is the fact that with all the modern technology that we have at our disposal in this day and age …. We spend the nights tied up to a tree I LOVE THAT.
My husband loved the lock and particularly watching the funnels being wound down and back up again to get under the bridge. I could have watched the wheel and the wash for hours.
THE HORN IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!
Joy Rides … with the specific aim of making very sure that we all got thoroughly wet They were great fun and we loved it.
Car parking for the duration of our cruise is very efficient, and we were greeted by staff as soon as we approached the ship to have all of our luggage taken off our hands and delivered straight to our room. We felt very welcome immediately.
Thanks for a great time.
Chris and Helen April 2017
The booking was easy for me when I phoned I received good service.

We enjoyed our River Cruise. Our Cabin was great. The Staff were excellent. The Captain Superb. The Cruise “director” Kevin was on the ball and was held in high esteem. I appreciated his presence at all times and his daily summaries were very well presented.
The River was in an excellent condition with the flow from recent rains.
Paul November 2016
The personal approach of the crew, especially Dianne is to be recommended. We all appreciated being hosted by the Captain and Engineer on the last evening for the Captain\'s dinner. The Chef and his offsider did an excellent job. Overall, we were very satisfied with all aspects of the cruise. My sister in law is a vegetarian and her meals were excellent and in some cases made especially when the menu was not appropriate.

Booking online was very easy and the whole trip went very smoothly. Transport, accommodation & most meals are all covered.
The bus trip to the Murray river is approx. 1 & 1/2 hours however it\'s a comfortable trip.
It is a smaller vessel which we enjoyed as we like getting to know other people. All food is included & it\'s really good.
Early start for Kangaroo Island departing on the bus at 6.30am. Approx. 1&1/2 hour bus trip. 45 min ferry trip. Bus waiting and ready for our full day tour. Wildlife was great. We were able to get up close to seals & birds, hand-fed kangaroos & patted koalas. Lunch also included. Motel was big & modern.
Another full day tour though more scenic but still great. Due to the full day the return trip to Adelaide is late arriving at 10.30pm. No complaints from us as the bus tour is worth it.
Overall we had an excellent trip!
Grace September 2016
I’d just like to thank you all on behalf of my wife Judy & I for a very enjoyable holiday.
All of the bookings on the Murray River, the hotel in Adelaide & the overnight Kangaroo Island tour all went without a single hitch. We cannot praise everyone involved highly enough for what turned out to be a very relaxing (well, some of the time at least) & enjoyable holiday. We saw a lot & learnt a lot & enjoyed every minute of it! We could not fault the service of your team or any of the personnel involved during our holiday.
We’ll have no hesitation in recommending Murray River Cruises to our friends & hope to come back to you again sometime to organise another holiday for us.
Congratulations & thanks again to all on a job well done - keep up the great work!
Best wishes to all,
Allen September 2016
Cheers Maureen August 2016
Accommodation and service was excellent and the meals , well, they were something again particularly the Captains Dinner simply delicious.
Best regards and many thanks to the Captain and all the crew.

I would certainly recommend this trip to others. July 2016
The cruise was great. Beyond expectations. The vessel was clean, captain and crew fantastic, the short shore tours were very good and the food was great.
We have 14 days in SA and the Murray River cruise was the stand out highlight.
Bill June 2016
Mike June 2016
We enjoyed the entertainment and we also enjoyed the on-shore excursions. We have been telling all our friends and relatives how lovely it all was and how well we were looked after by all the staff. May 2016
We would like to mention that we feel it was a lovely, big slice of pure Australia and, if Aussies haven’t done it yet, what’s keeping them? They need to go and visit their very own icon - the Murray River - and do it the way the early Australians did it.
Thank you for a great time,
Ted & Barbara February 2016
I would recommend it to all our friends. February 2016
From the moment we were picked up at the Grosvenor to the time we were dropped off at the end of the Kangaroo Island leg every staff person who touched our lives contributed to making the whole experience a total delight. Every member of the team from the Captain to the baggage handlers was friendly, efficient and effective. The cabin was small but comfortable, the food was excellent, the entertainment was fun and the organisation and service exemplary.
So a hearty thanks to the entire team involved in the enterprise from the moment of first contact to the last goodbye. It is an item now ticked off our Bucket List and one we will remember with fondness for the rest of our days.
Derek & Brenda January 2016
The fun times we had on the ship were great - the Crew Bush Band for instance - and the Murray River Races. Just hilarious.
Can\'t praise the crew enough - and Chef produced the BEST meals. What a gem !
Thanks for all your help over the bookings etc.
It was over too soon - but a great way to spend our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It was all just wonderful - except the heat !!! Can\'t blame you for that !
With all good wishes,
ANNE January 2016
We are recommending the cruise to all who will listen here at home. Our theme is if you want a very relaxing different holiday this is it. Being an old Murrumbidgee boy it was like a return to my youth just drifting along similar familiar waters . Crew, food, accommodation great and the side trips wonderful. I have included one photo of Betty winning the Melbourne Cup, I picked up $40 on her. Thanks for a great experience.
Tom and Betty January 2016
We had a wonderful time on the Murray River we enjoyed every thing company was great /meals were great/staff were great/ sites were great/
What more can we ask for//// But the weather was very hot and air cond was not working to good but believe its being repair just bad timing
Coffee at all times was great I loved that with every thing
Will recomened it to everyone December 2015
Overall we had a very rewarding time. On reflection I admit that being a party of three made it difficult to circulate in the dining room as the other guests formed mainly couples. On a longer trip with only 31 guests the opportunity to mingle would have been overcome.
I would certainly recommend this experience to friends and family. December 2015
Paul and I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and had the time of our lives. The crew were all fantastic, but I think that the Cruise Director deserves a special mention. We had been told that he was in his first week as Cruise Director and we have to tell you that he handled the job as if he had been born to it! He remembered names (even if you had forgotten your name badge), dietary needs and special events such as birthdays, anniversaries etc., plus he encouraged the passengers to get up and have a go. But, he was not alone in the friendly and professional way all the crew went about their jobs.
Paul & I participated in all but one shore excursion (nocturnal tour) and found them to be an enjoyable and diverse range of Australiana. We both (at 68 & 69) managed to reach the top of the steps at Ngaut Ngaut in temperatures above 30 C.
We also enjoyed the Bush Tucker breakfast onshore - well worth the additional cost.
I had initially tried to book our 7 nights beginning Fri. 29/1/16 but was told the full 7 days was not available from that date, so started our cruise Mon. 25/1/16 instead. My initial disappointment that we had to change our dates soon turned to gratitude, as we were then on board for Australia Day.
I think that this year was the BEST Australia Day I can remember. The number of people either picnicing, camping, in Holiday homes, or on boats and houseboats was amazing, plus the atmosphere both on board and onshore was \"electric\". Aussie flags were being waved and greetings shouted over the water - in both directions. The crew also got into the spirit of the day, decorating the dining room (Mess) and themselves in Australiana.
With our thanks for a very enjoyable week cruising on the Murray,
Eileen December 2015
My Aunty who is 83 and myself had an amazing time. I wouldn’t change anything. The service, food and entertainment was first class. I have travelled on Cruise ships on the ocean and would prefer to take a trip on your boat once a year. It’s more relaxed as there are only 100 120 people on board. New Years Eve Captain’s Party was the highlight. I Have posted some pics for you. Once again thankyou very much
Cheers Sonya November 2015
Everything was fine with the booking and the cruise was excellent as it was the last time I went on it. The staff really go out of their way to make everything run smoothly and all the trips ashore were interesting and easy to do with options.
Moira November 2015
The crew was excellent, the skipper became one of us.
The boat was in lovely condition and I appreciated the ongoing maintenance work. Part of the maintenance will be on the toilet seat of Cabin 13 - I\'m afraid it fell to pieces on our last day. Shane reckoned the shower was great, but this grizzling Kiwi claimed it needed adjustment so the water stays in the shower booth. Still, it gave me something to grizzle about, and what\'s a dog without fleas?
Frankly, for one from Hamilton, New Zealand, with a lovely river cutting through our city, the Murray River was a bit of a disappointment perhaps (but that\'s not your fault, blame it on our beautiful Waikato River). If there were crocs below in the Murray we\'d never see them. You\'ve made the most of the muddy Murray and the cruise programme could not be faulted.
Highlights for me included the people (including crew) I met. Our table of six was a great team, tremendous fun! A laugh a minute!
The excursion in the small boat was excellent and the chap running it certainly knew his business and was packed full of information on the birdlife.
My legs weren\'t up to the bush walk, and I was pleased to have passed it up when I saw the exhausted state of the returning adventurers.
Multi-cheers for the barbecue! It was the best I\'ve EVER attended. The entertainer was superb, and I persuaded a lovely young woman sitting next to me to join me in a dance. What a joy - I\'ve not danced in years! The cruise inspired me.
Did I mention the food? No, I\'ve left it to last: The catering was fantastic. In two nights and three days I gained 2kg. If we\'d been tied up for those three days the food would have been worth the dollars the cruise cost. Breakfasts were amazing (chain those chefs up and don\'t ever let them go.) Three times a day we were fed like baconers being prepared for market. My son Shane, a hearty glutton, ate more than me. You should have charged him more.
As Kiwis (Shane and his family are transplants to Oz and have dual nationality) we felt completely at home. I\'ve \"jumped the ditch\" a number of times before, but this trip emphasised to me just how closely Aussies and Kiwis bind.
ONE WORD SUMMATION: FANTASTIC!
Roy Burke November 2015
It was a fun cruise and I enjoyed every part. The crew were efficiently brilliant without exception, the food was fabulous, the table no 1 was delightful, Alex was a divine pianist to be kept at all costs, communication between crew and passengers was clear and complete, Captain James, Mick and Warren were great etc and so on. When there was a serious medical situation with Ray, Ray and Maureen were cared for in a gentle and efficient way. Maureen hugely appreciated Mick delivering her luggage personally to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
I will recommend the cruise with enthusiasm.
Thanks - Jennifer November 2015
I have done a lot of travelling but quite frankly, the Murray cruise was
one of the most enjoyable things both myself and 5 traveling companions
have ever done! Simple, laid back, relaxing, all that was promised came about.
Improvements?? Nahh it’s pretty much perfect!
Les Prescott October 2015
We had a wonderful trip on the Murray River. We just enjoyed it so much, everything about it was great and memorable. Food was amazing and beyond expectation. The crew were lovely looked after us with just the right amount of caring that made us feel welcomed.
We then stayed in Adelaide for 5 days which we also enjoyed and then went on our next trip which faded in comparison to the Murray River cruise. I am telling all my friends they must definitely do the Murray River cruise, it will go down as one of the best few days we have spent, it was as if we were in another world. We will be back!!
Thank you and thanks to the crew.
Helen October 2015
Just got off the boat!
Thank you for the cabin choice......18..........Quiet, and comfy.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Will do it again!
Thanks, Chris and Pauline Colton. September 2015
My only suggestion is that the wi-fi wasn\'t all that easy to access on an oldish computer. I don\'t know why.
Grace September 2015
Just to let you know we all had a great time. It was a very successful holiday. Mum managed all the activities, which was good (and she was proud of her efforts). Very central location and good service.
Thanks for all your help in organising our holiday.
Wendy August 2015
Yes I had a lovely cruise thank you. Your staff go out of their way to make things easy and hassle free. They catered for my food intolerances and I was surprised by the variety of food.
I think that next time I will extend the cruise to the 5 day option as I had just started to get into the routine when it ended. Thank you and I hope to cruise again next year.
Barb August 2015
Thank you for showing us a lovely time.
Sue June 2015
Thank you to all
Trish April 2015
I just want to thank you all for a marvellous holiday that my husband and I had just recently on board the Murray Princess, followed by 2 day KI trip. (Ref 2HNM99).
This was a surprise trip for hubby\'s 60th birthday. He knew his destination was Adelaide, but knew nothing else. The highlight of our 2 weeks total was the Murray River Cruise.
We were looked after splendidly the whole time. I found all your staff were efficient, friendly and very good at their jobs.
All the booking processes were so easy (thank you Mel), and all the arrangements on board ran just like clockwork.
Thank you for the surprise bottle of champagne in our cabin on arrival.....that was awesome!
Again many thanks for everything.
We would love to repeat the experience at some stage, only longer this time!
Yours in appreciation,
Anne Shirtliff (NZ) March 2015
Thanks for your email.
We very much enjoyed the experience of our cruise and were happy with all the service from Murray River Cruises. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and we would thoroughly recommend the cruise to friends interested in the area.
Of particular interest were the excursions ashore and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal reserve and hearing the stories told.
Lorraine Best March 2015
I had a great time on the Murray Princess.
The breakfasts were superb
The captain and Crew were friendly
I will be making a return trip next year (In warmer weather)
The shop could have had a bigger variety of goods and souvenirs I thought.
The furniture on board was first class
I particularly enjoyed Alex entertaining us at mealtimes and in the evening.
I was very pleased that the crew were not hidden away, and were seen around the vessel during their free time.
The cruise was first class and I will be back next year.

I am writing on behalf of my wife [Shirley] and myself to complement
Captain Cook Cruises and the crew of the Murray Princess on the week
of the 30/1/15. The cruise was the end of a bucket list that we have been
working through for the last 20 years. It did not disappoint us in any way
but surpassed our expectations.Starting off with an upgrade to a state
room was fantastic, the welcome aboard was warming and great. The crew
were very good at looking after you through out the whole cruise all the way
from you at the reservations, captain James down to the deck hands and the
chefs and cooks behind the scenes. The cruise was very relaxing yet the crew
had entertainment and nature walks etc going on for you to enjoy if you wish.
the food was great and very well presented [ put on a few pounds ].
All in all the cruise and crew could not be faulted.
We would and have recommended this cruise to anyone.

I was very impressed with the service I was given after booking online for your cruise. When confirming our cruise, the lady to whom I spoke made me feel really happy about my choice of holiday. From the moment we boarded the bus in Adelaide until we arrived back in Adelaide, we were looked after by friendly, caring crew, who made our weekend one to remember.
Moya Rabbitt January 2015
David and I have returned from our 4day/5night cruise on the Murray Princess. We had a great time, food good, company good, staff very pleasant, scenery interesting.
We were happy with the activities provided but best of all we really enjoyed having a State Cabin.
We are happy to encourage others to travel this way for a very relaxing holiday. Many of our friends have travelled on the Murray Princess in social groups, with positive reports.
Keep up the good work!
Margaret McKittrick. December 2014

I will be recommending the trip to my friends.

We also enjoyed the side trips on the coach very much - Michael is a really personable type of guy and, like the boat crew, put us all at ease and gave us great insights into the district, the history, the people and the way of life.
My wife is disabled, which presents special problems - but all your crew (and Michael) made it especially easy for her to enjoy every aspect of the trip.
We shall thoroughly recommend the tour to our friends.
Mike September 2014
Excellent service from the staff at all times.

We brought a party of fourteen (including ourselves) on the cruise departing Sunday 14 September and a really good time was had by everybody. The wide range of activities each day was marvellous, and the menu was a delight.
The ensuing cruise/excursions were, thankfully, terrific! Angela and Cam and Michael especially made it a really worthwhile experience overall for everybody in our group.

Other than the delay with the bus not on time
We had a great time, Food & service was great, Cam looked after us well.
Your itinerary was very relaxing with just enough excursions to keep us interested
Thoroughly recommend your tour to anyone as we too were told of your tour by friends who also have been on the Boat.
All the best in the future & hope you keep on CRUISING. & keep up the good work.

My mother and I enjoyed the cruise. The staff were excellent and very friendly.
My mother, who is 83, wanted to go again as soon as we got off of the boat. Everyone was so kind to her, especially Dafyd, who she wanted to adopt.
We hope to be travelling with you again in the future.
Carol August 2014
We could not complain about a thing only thing is put on a bit of weight.
The Crew (all of them) were absolutely fantastic you would not find better people anywhere from all over the state.
The Captain was a great bloke and of course all the others.
The food out of this world (wow)
Paul the entertainer he was great, I have never laughed so much in my life leaving me with a sore stomach and jaws,
All in all it was great and also met some lovely people.
Save up my pennies for another trip.
(ps) Say thanks to Mel for all the great help she gave us girls like Mel are hard to find.

Thank you for your email and enquiry regarding my recent Murray River cruise.
Yes, I did enjoy my time on board Murray Princess. In particular I felt the Captain and crew were friendly, helpful and most efficient. The coach tour of Barossa Valley was also a highlight and I commend the driver, Dennis and Coach Tour Captain, Kelly. They ensured we had a very enjoyable day.
My sincere thanks to all.
Ella August 2014
We received you email asking us if we enjoyed the Murray River Cruise.
We enjoyed our 7 day cruise very much. The meals were very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of entertainment if needed or room to relax if not.
As I said we could not fault the trip it was great.

We were delighted with our Murray River Cruise on the Murray Princess. The Paddle Steamer, the crew, the staff and the meals were excellent and we have recommended the experience to our friends. Thank you for a well-organised and thoroughly well-serviced tour.

Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed the cruise. Awesome scenery, fantastic birdlife, great shore tours, helpful and informative crew and magnificent meals all helped to make it a memorable trip. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family, and in fact have already done so. Thanks again
Lester and Elizabeth August 2014
I worked for P&O for 10 years (1960/70) & my job was “Social Hostess”. Back then we all did our bit to entertain the passengers & I found
myself doing the most unlikely things. Can Can, Hula, Bingo calling, endless Capt’s Cocktail Parties &D J’ing into the wee small hours
& escorting excursions whilst in port.
Now I would be called a Cruise Director & dealing with Las Vegas type shows & I would not have to wear the feathers! A changing scene indeed.
I know the amount of forward planning that goes into entertaining passengers with varied interests & sometimes mobility issues. The Cruise
Director did a great job.
I could not fault anything except for the fact that the Decks were clear at an extraordinarily early hour!
Your Crew were all very efficient & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them & they obviously enjoy their work. There were too many
to mention by name but they all went out of their way to make everyone feel at home. Gary your Barman needs a special mention!
The food was amazing & I am relieved that I did not book anymore than three nights as my appetite must have been enhanced by all the fresh air!!
My compliments to the Chef.
My Cabin was comfortable & oh the bliss of the Electric Blanket.
The Public Rooms were beautifully appointed with plenty of space.
Marvellous to be bussed from Adelaide to Mannum & back. Being a Solo Traveller I find the getting to & from places a bit of a hassle but no problems
this time. I felt very spoilt by the attention.
One friend asked if I was l subjected to “the usual nutter” I tend to attract when I travel, & I replied that I think I was the nutter that others were wary of.
I met some wonderful people & was hardly ever left my own.
I would like to travel again on the Princess, hopefully in the warmer months.
My photos have been emailed around the world & very favourable comments have been returned.
I tend to go on a bit, as you now realize but I think you need get as much feed back as possible.
A fabulous experience!

We loved the Proud Mary! We also loved the idea of the Proud Mary coach trips - Michael was our driver and he was amazing. Great fun too.
Food was excellent. Cabin comfortable. A bit of a problem with water drainage from the handbasin, but we left a note about that.
Tables were cleared a bit too quickly - some folk still eating!! But we left a note about that too.
All in all - no complaints. Thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard and were very sorry to leave.
Thanks to all involved.

always pleasant. The scenery along the river was really
surprising to us and the bird life was great.
We received good service from you, thank you.
Heather and Ivan July 2014
The food was fantastic and my gluten free and lactose free was catered for very well.
The entertainment was excellent, the music, activities etc, off boat activities too.
The staff fantastic.
Perhaps sometimes there wasn’t very much seating so you could sit and read, so we went back to our cabin.
Maybe a film or video could be arranged somewhere for people who don’t have reading or something to do.
Videos could be old westerns or something about the area even.
But our whole group enjoyed the trip.
Irene July 2014
High light was the wine tasting and local produce tasting.
Sue July 2014
It was a lot of fun ,the crew ,food and company the boat all excellent.
We may do it again one day ,in the meantime lots of other trips to do

Thank you for your email. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights cruise, as a matter of fact it has been the best few days we have spent for quite a number of years. The food was out of this world and Paul was very entertaining. The excursions were also very enjoying particularly the nocturnal tour, woolshed show and bar b que. The staff in the dining room were excellent and very obliging and when we disembarked the organisation was top notch. The only little hitch was probably the attitude of Gary in the bar, at times as he made me feel that I was intruding when asking for service. It seems he is vey busy with paperwork at times.
Overall the experience was wonderful and I am boring my friends with how great it was.

1. The crew related really well to the passengers and were extremely helpful
2. The tours were great in their content, variety and spacing over the cruise. Our guide was really personable and knowledgeable.
3. The entertainment on the Wednesday night was great
4. The food was excellently prepared and not too much
5. The vessel, while not a paddle steamer, was ideally suited to the trip being not too big or too small. There were plenty of areas outside to watch the river go by and an adequate lounge area if you wanted to sit inside
6. The other passengers were fantastic to get along with- some of them were musicians and it was great to have live music going whilst cruising
We found the experience thoroughly enjoyable and would certainly recommend it to others
Nick and Marg June 2014
We were the only kiwis on the cruise so disappointed that more of us haven\'t discovered the wonders of the Murray.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, the crew were hard working so much fun, the food saw us all waddle off the ship pounds heavier from when we boarded. Needless to say the Aussie passengers were very friendly and made the trip a very memorable one.
The wildlife aspect of the cruise was very good a highlight being the backwater journey with the botanist and the Aboriginal Archeological site. Wombats were my favourite night sortie creature.
We could not fault the cruise at all.
But failure of the wifi was the only small criticism.
Cheers for the contact.
Yvonne June 2014
Yes we had a great time on the Murray Princess. Everything was really good-Staff, food, activities and our cabin. We have been recommending it to other people to try. We will be in Manum at the end of September and will call down to see the boat dock on the Friday morning.
Regards Alison June 2014
Yes we had a great couple of days, well organised, good variety of activities, good food and beverage and great company.
We also had great weather while on board, a great trip that IO will recommend to others

We answered it about one week after the cruise....we loved it !
Bill & Lyn June 2014
Oh my gosh we certainly did. The food was sensation and we just loved
Tim told us all about the 5 day cruise and how wonderful it was.
We have already actually booked straight away and are all leaving on the 4th
January cruise. Cannot wait.
Our bus Driver was really great and informative. Loved the eco boat trip and saw heaps of Pelicans that I adore.
We met some lovely people.
We cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful time.
Thanks from us all. June 2014
Did we enjoy the cruise? Does Donald Duck? Is a pig\'s bum pork? Say no more.
Sine and I both agree that the seven day cruise on the \"Princess\" was a 10+ experience and have,
without reservation, been happy to recommended this amazing journey to friends.
From the welcome on board, to the final night\'s seafood banquet, the whole seven days was
a joy to remember. We had the pleasure to meet fellow passengers who we\'re sure will remain
friends, became Trivia Quiz champions (have the Winners\' Official Certificate and Stubby Holder
to prove it), and on the Night Life onshore tour when carried an injured kangaroo back onshore on
So delighted were we with the cruise we tried to book the 7 day from Remark to Mannem
Christmas cruise immediately we returned home. Sadly, we were advised it was fully booked,
and we are now on a wait list hoping for a late cancellation.
We do sincerely hope we are able to find a place on the Christmas cruise, but if sadly we are
not successful we shall continue to recommend our friends to the Murray Priincess experience!
We shall look forward to our next cruise on the Princess .... hopefully from Rennmark at Christmas.

I shall spread the word.

Only on two occasions was our daughter not able to join in the activities.
Disabled facilities are extremely good with one exception.
For some reason you have a large block of cement under the toilet which meant our daughter required assistance to sit on the toilet & subsequently put her pants on.
Try for yourself, sit on a stool where your feet can not reach the floor, without using your legs try to put your pants on.
Toilets particularly should never be higher than 420 from floor to top of seat.
Thank you all for a wonderful trip.
Barry June 2014
You ask for feedback & I really have no criticism at all. The crew were great. The activities were fun & often informative. The food was great & the views spectacular.
As a personal suggestion, I would have liked a bit more emphasis on the bird life & Nature. We had several talks in the dining room on topics to do with the river & paddle boat history. Perhaps a talk outside on the top deck, identifying the many birds we saw, would be of great interest. Many people did spend time up there. Of course access is harder for the less able. Some crew members had some bird knowledge & were as helpful as they could be, when asked. There was also information in the brochure in our cabin, but to have a knowledgeable person actually point out particular species, which often are hard to identify, would be fantastic.
We travelled with friends.
Thank you again
Helen & Graeme June 2014
The cruise on the Proud Mary was superb...we enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend the cruise to others. The Murray River was spectacular and the side trips were well planned and interesting. All service was excellent from start to finish

Yes, we enjoyed, it was our second time.
We already completed feedback form on boat.
We most enjoyed being taken under the cliffs and having nature (birds etc) explained.
I would like to suggest that you consider offering an additional cruise short cruise option in future.
Namely, a special cruise focused on understanding and learning about the river and its ecology and history.
You could employ an ecology expert as a specialised guide.
This could cater for a special, eco-tourism market, including overseas visitors e.g. from Asia.
Perhaps you could do it in conjunction with Universities, and attract students / overseas students and their parents.
Hope you find helpful.
David May 2014
We throughly enjoyed our cruise, had a very relaxing time, were well fed and looked after.

Our week on the Murray Princess was probably our best holiday venture, ever! From the time of our first enquiry to the end of our cruise, all personnel were so helpful, friendly & efficient, & made the week really wonderful. The Princess is such a beautiful boat, the food was first-class, & activities & entertainment kept us busy, but with enough quiet time for relaxation.
We have recommended this cruise to quite a few people & we will certainly consider doing it again
Congratulations & a big Thank You to all concerned.

The Princess was just a delight, the staff were great - you have a fantastic team there. The side trips were interesting and enjoyable, the dinner on Thursday was - well I am running out of superlatives and I am just kicking myself for not taking my camera down to dinner so I missed the photo as you raised the screens to reveal the seafood buffet. Your captain was gorgeous, by the way.
I enjoyed the Barossa tour and have signed up for the Chateau Tanunda wine club.
We very much enjoyed cruising on the Murray River with you. We were surprised at the interest that we found on the river itself particularly the very large number of pelicans which are always fascinating to watch.
We found your crew were very helpful and always had time to make us feel comfortable and answer any questions that we had.
I would not hesitate to recommend to any of our friends or family to book a cruise with you. The only complaint I have is that the food was too good there was too much of it. I now have to take off about 3 kg
Regards and thanks for the cruise.
Heather May 2014
Yes we did
Sorry for not replying to the questionnaire I arrived home to have to put the finishing touches to my husbands 80th birthday last week-end so got carried away.
I have told everyone about how great it was.
We were still talking about it at the birthday party.
Marion May 2014

All staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. On the bar scene, Jazz was full of life while Gary was devoid of personality.
The chap next to Alby in the attached photo won our admiration for his dedication, training of new staff, and overall knowledge in running a tight ship. He is a credit to your organisation. Sorry, of all the people on the ship we cannot remember his name.
The bus drivers to and from our accommodation in Adelaide to Mannum were excellent in providing commentary and general knowledge of the area during our trip. This made the bus trip both informative and interesting.
As a suggestion would it be at all feasible to run an occasional cruise aimed at a slightly younger age group. Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the cruise we were extremely surprised that the majority of passengers were aged above 70. e.g have theme nights aimed to entice a younger crowd. ( We are aged in our 60’s )
Thanks again for a relaxing holiday.

Thanks for the memories,...................( that sounds like a good name for a song.....!)

Thanks for a very memorable, enjoyable and totally relaxing cruise. I greatly appreciated everything each and everyone of you did to help make my time on your ship a very special experience for me. I would have dearly liked to continue on for the next 4 nights, and enjoyed more of your wonderful hospitality. Hopefully there will be a next time for me soon. Thanks again for such a wonderful holiday.
Captain David, and Crew, thank you for an unforgettable cruise!

Yes we did enjoy our Murray river cruise. It met most of our expectations.
Staff great, especially your cruise Director Mike Ried and your young man of many talents Jarrod.
We loved the food, entertainment and shore excursions, just enough for us.
We would like to thank you, the Captain and your crew for a very relaxing and enjoyable 7 days.
Would we do it again? YES
Would we recommend your cruise to others? YES
We would also like imformation on your next cruise to Renmark, I believe in 2016.
Yours in cruising

We have experience several overseas cruises but found this one absolutely delightful and second to none.A big thank you to your staff , for their contribution to such a pleasant 5 days. Yours sincerely Kerry and Valma April 2014
We all had the best week on the cruise and will thoroughly recommend others to go.
Thanks to all the crew they were excellent.
Karyn April 2014
Dot April 2014
Paul April 2014
We thoroughly enjoyed the 4 day cruise on the Murray.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The Captain and his crew were very professional and efficient.
All of the meals presented by the Chef and his team were of a very high quality (5 star).
The off shore excursions were all very interesting.
We made some new friends and would highly recommend this cruise.
Faye and Brian April 2014
We really enjoyed all aspects of Murray River Cruising (our first) and have recommended the experience it to family and friends.
Regards Elaine and Len April 2014
YES - We all enjoyed the Murray River Cruise very much thank you. Mum and Dad still talk about it!
The crew were amazing - they were professional, efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was excellent - good quality and plenty of it, always perfectly cooked and excellent presentation, good variety
The cabins were much bigger than I expected, always clean and very comfortable
The trips gave a good experience - I loved the night safari and the night by the camp fire. Mum and Dad\'s favourite was the Aboriginal tour - fabulous guides.
Thanks to Warren and Josh for the tender boat trips.
Thanks to Captain Ray for letting me hang out in the wheelhouse
Thanks so much for a great holiday.
I am not sure if you are allowed to give out the crews emails but if you are - could you please let me have an email contact for Captain Ray and First Officer Warren Hardiman.
Lynn April 2014
We did enjoy the four days we spent aboard plus the tour of the Barossa.
We particularly appreciated the changes to the schedule in an endeavour to avoid the worst of the very hot days.
The staff did a great job. Special mention for waitress Jenny who did everything with a smile and was so obliging even when not specifically working the table we were on.
Christine and Grahame March 2014
Cathy March 2014
Our only suggestion would be to include a visit to Maggie Beers Farm in the Barossa Wine trip - if necessary delete one of the vineyards.
Liz March 2014
I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone.
David March 2014
Robert March 2014
If we could have we would have stayed on board for a lot longer than four nights. In fact we could do with coming back and doing it again, but finances prevent us from doing so.
We were amazed by the talent of the staff at the BBQ evening, they were just brilliant. I have to say that the ambiance of the vessel and the helpfulness of the crew just made this trip. I could go on forever about this cruise, and you got me started!
The coach journey to and from the vessel was interesting, and the driver informative, and helped make the journey fascinating.
Elizabeth March 2014
Yes, we had a wonderful time on the cruise. The boat was lovely, the scenery and excursions excellent, and the crew friendly, helpful and informative. The food was excellent too...can\'t fault it at all. Incidentally, we loved Adelaide; it has a certain old world charm and dignity lacking elsewhere, yet plays host to vibrant and modern entertainments.
Congratulations to all concerned.

We arrived home last week, and I have been remiss in not getting to you, I apologize.
I just wanted to let you know how grateful we are for the reservations and the help all of you had helped me with. The Riverboat cruise on the Murray River was just awesome. It was so beautiful and relaxing; all of the sites including our \"Aussie Breakfast in the Bush\" was great. (I love Kangaroo sausage!!). I am sorry I could not get to your office to meet you; our days were just jammed full. Well, Brigit, as you can surmise, we had a vacation of our life, one that will always be remembered and treasured.
Again, thank you all for giving us great service!!!
Roxanne March 2014
Regards Sal March 2014
We will recommend the Murray River Cruise to friends.
Christine and Grahame March 2014
we had the most wonderful time and the crew were fantastic.. we would recommend this trip to everyone...
cheers william March 2014
We just wanted to say we had a fabulous time everyone was great and we do want to thank you and everyone attached to this cruise and service. The people who welcomed us to their farm, the sheep races, the aboriginal people who took us on their home land and show us their drawings and ancestors living areas. Very interesting and enjoyable. It was just what we needed and very relaxing. We were very blessed with the weather and we enjoyed Julie Goodwin on board also.
Thank you March 2014
Ludy & Bruce February 2014
The cruise was fantastic and I would certainly do it again and recommend it to all of my friends.
The organisation from when we were picked up in Adelaide until we returned to Adelaide was great. Everything ran like clockwork.
The crew on the boat were so friendly and the service was excellent. The food was terrific.
The whole package was outstanding. The best holiday I have ever had!!
Kay February 2014
We were ecstatic with the cruise, it was simply wonderful with a lot of it due to the excellent crew and staff and the new friends we made aboard. We would recommend it to anyone.
We were completely satisfied with the services from Murray River Cruises even though it is a bit daunting for us older generation dealing with the internet. Everyone we spoke to was very nice and helpful.
Thank you very much.
John and Karen February 2014
Yes we had a wonderful time, the Crew were fantastic, very friendly and couldn\'t do enough for you. The cruise had the right amount of relaxation and excursions. The food was scrumptious, the chefs did a great job in providing our meals especially considering the kitchen they have to work with. I would definately recommend the Proud Mary, Murray River Cruise as a great holiday.
The only improvement could be that there be better signage as to where to pick up the cruise, we had trouble finding the correct spot to wait for the boat.
William and Kathy February 2014
Yes we enjoyed the cruise immensely. What we particularly liked was the cheerfulness of each member of the crew we dealt with even at the end of a long day for them.
We found the tour activities were spaced and paced for us to have a relaxing holiday without feeling either worn out or on the ohter hand bored.
Kym and Lorraine February 2014
The mention and \"Congratulations\" at dinner on the Saturday night dinner was ,very special for us.
We were very impressed with Andrew taking care of my(Shirley) special dietary needs, made life very comfortable for us.
There is nothing we could think of that needs changing ,the winery trips ,again was ,very pleasing ,and we enjoyed the wine tasting ,and the purchases we made while on the excursion.
We have to mention ,Young Christy, and Josh, their boat handling ,was so professional and great to watch,as they secured the \"Princess\" each time we stopped along the cruise.
Thank you again, for making \"Our Special time \" a very memorable one, we will treasure
Please be assured that where ever we have traveled, we have recommended,\"The Murray River Princess\" cruise.
Thank you again
Bob and Shirley January 2014
We did enjoy our 7 night Murray River Cruise very much. In particular, the reservations team, the dining room staff and the chef need special mention as they provided wonderful service. As Russell requires a gluten free diet, he was extremely impressed with the care the waiting staff and the chef took with his food which was always tasty and well presented. The onshore activities were interesting, particularly enjoyable was the visit to the pet farm and evening BBQ with nocturnal animal tour.
Russell and Julie January 2014
were excellent. Our idea of a relaxing holiday.
Will probably do it again next year with friends.
Roger and Lyn. January 2014
Cheers Sandie January 2014
Thanks for your query. Yes I had a fabulous time on the cruise. It actually far exceeded my expectations.
All the staff were delightful, nothing was ever to much trouble day and night. The boat is lovely, the cabin was nice and very well maintained/serviced. The food was great….except I might have eaten a bit to much. The chefs and staff made every effort to assist me with some food allergies. There were many highlights really every day. Michael took great care of us all when he took us to places in the bus. I really enjoyed his happy nature. Both our Peter\'s ran the boat very smoothly and kept us well informed of what was happening in a very professional way.
The scenery was spectacular. The cliffs are awesome and change with the time of day. The Pelicans were funny and always keeping us company.
I brought myself a Proud Mary mug and reguarly use it to remind me of a very pleasant 5 days.
Thanks, Sally January 2014
The Murray River Cruise on the Princess was a most wonderful cruise, the 7 days were most enjoyable, the Staff, Tours, Camp Fires, BBQ and the information about the River animals and birds was 5 star +++
I have parsing it to all ! I hope to be able to do it again.
Thanks to the Crew they were marvellous !
From Brian. December 2013
Thank you, we did have a fabulous time. Everything ran so smoothly, the crew were friendly and always so helpful. Alan has a food allergy and it was never any bother for the crew. He was always well catered for. The meals were always lovely.
It is a very beautiful part of the river and the Murray Princess was a pleasure to be on.
Julie December 2013
We would highly recommend this experience to others .
With thanks , Margaret & Don. December 2013
We had a great time and enjoyed our Cruise. The crew were very good and very helpful especially general hand Amy and the new girl Jaz they were hard workers and tried very hard.
I would be happy to recommend this cruise to fiends
Regards Carl & Gary
Have a great Christmas December 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas cruise on the Murray River and would recommend it to our friends.
The service from the staff was outstanding right from the time we were picked up from the Mercure to the time we were dropped off.
The meals were excellent, and the commentary by the Captain or First Officer when we passed an interesting spot was first rate.
The only down side was when we went to settle the bar account, Hayley the person in charge was under a lot of pressure to serve every one as quickly as possible.
Perhaps it needs looking at to give her more assistance.

By the way we are very satisfied with the services of the crew and the beautiful food we had. It was a very pleasant ride as well. We also enjoyed the entertainment of the crew. They were very friendly and witty. We were also lucky to have met some very nice fellow travelers.
The cruise is highly recommended to anyone who wants a nice relaxing time and good food. We will certainly pass on our wonderful experience to our friends and relatives.
Paul and Grace. November 2013
We had an amazing time on our Murray River Cruise!! The service, food everything was perfect & we will be recommending it to everyone we know.
Thank you so much for an amazing experience with great memories to treasure forever.
Regards Michelle & Gary. November 2013
Kevin November 2013
We have made the comment that it would be wonderful one day to be able to cruise the full length from Murray Bridge to Echuca or the reverse. It could be possible with a bus connection to either place. That is just a thought!
Pat November 2013
My feedback form will be in the mail tomorrow. It was a perfect cruise for my elderly parents who enjoyed every minute of it! So did I. The Captain and crew were extremely vigilant and helpful for the whole cruise even to the point of repairing my father’s walking stick which will never break again I’m sure!
The scenery was stunning, the food delicious although too much of it, and the whole cruise was very relaxing. We could do as much or as little as we wished.
The birthday cake for my father was a great surprise for him and much appreciated.
The only suggestion I would make would be to have sandwiches or a buffet for lunch instead of a hot meal. Too much of a good thing!
Genevieve October 2013
Thankyou for the opportunity to comment on the above cruise.
Yes, we had a wonderful time on the Murray Princess. We enjoyed very much the staff involvement, and the evening entertainment, and of course the beautiful meals presented every day.
The entire trip was a pleasure to be involved with from start to finish, and we also appreciated the assistance from the staff at the Mercure Grosvenor in Adelaide with regards luggage storage and taxi ordering.
Thankyou all very much.
Stewart and Kay October 2013
Brian October 2013
Thank you for your interest and on behalf of Ann and myself, I am pleased to say that we did especially enjoy our cruise holiday on the Murray Princess.
Soon after returning to our home, I completed and mailed your survey form, and in doing so, made some observations and suggestions that we thought deserved comment.
Ultimately, however, we rated the experience highly and have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.
Gary (& Ann) October 2013
Lyn and I thought the Murray River Cruise was very good value.
At the farewell function for our last night on board I asked the Tour Director if I could say a few words on behalf of the departing passengers; I reiterate now what I said on the night, “We have done a lot of cruising, both on the open ocean and rivers in Europe, and thought this trip compared favourably with any of them. It made me proud to be an Aussie”.
Thanks for such an enjoyable experience,
Wayne. September 2013
Just to say we had a wonderful time on your beautiful ship, the food was great, as were the crew, fellow passengers and the entertainment. It was a lovely relaxing cruise with lots to see and do.Thank you for making our 25th wedding anniversary so special. Dorothy September 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days on the \"MURRAY PRINCESS\". It was very relaxing and well organised with an appropriate balance of activities.
We have rercommended the trip to a number of friends and acquaintances.
Colin and June. September 2013
Thanks for your enquiry.
It was my intention anyway to contact you after we had returned home from the remainder of our holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Murray cruise...so relaxing & peaceful. It was particularly noticeable that the service provided by all on board was admirable......the dining room attention was first rate, delivered with efficiency and promptness.
All of your staff were cheerful, polite & helpful and obviously dedicated to the task in hand.
We would appreciate it if you could convey our appreciation and thanks to those working on the cruise Sept 16th- 20th.
Our only regret is that we had not booked for the longer trip...maybe next time!
Jacqui & Hans September 2013
The service was excellent from the Crew, and the food was the best, well presented.
Thank you for a great time.
Philip and Gail August 2013
We were very pleased to have the option of coming to and from Mannum by private coach in the company of your very helpful and informative driver, John.
Our main criticism is the the fact that breakfast ended too early at 9.00am. We were after all on holiday and should have liked the opportunity of breakfasting up to 9.30am or even 10.00am!
With best wishes
John and Helen. August 2013
And would go on another immediately, if the price were right.
Rosemary. August 2013

Thanks once again

The shore excursions were well organised and very enjoyable and I was given every assistance to take part in all excursions available. The meals were better than I had expected - absolutely wonderful and served hot and with a smile. Could not have done better.
My congratulations to Murray River Cruises for a wonderful enjoyable holiday - I have been telling all my friends and family and suggesting that if they wish for a relaxing holiday with all the attention expected of a 5 star experience, then get in touch with you.
Thank you for making my holiday unforgettable - I will be saving my money for another cruise in the near future.

Thanks for your email and we had the most wonderful time on the Murray Princess. Crew and Food was 5 star and its a wonderful way to see the amazing Murray River. Having the transport to and from Adelaide was a great idea and would certainly tell friends to do it.
Betty July 2013
Sara and I had a wonderful time on the Murray Princess, I had travelled on her 12 months previous so for me it was like catching up with an old friend
Nothing had changed still the same excellent food and service I received before only some of the faces of the crew were different. For my partner this was a whole new experience for her, she has travelled all over the world but for her this was right up there as far as enjoyment was concerned. She is an avid photographer so she was in her element photographing the way the river changed at every twist and turn and seeing the various wildlife that inhabits the river banks
Thanks to the Captain and crew for a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday
Denis June 2013
Thank you so much. Pat said it was the best cruise she has ever been on, it beat the ocean cruises into a cocked hat.
Cheers Pat and Pat June 2013

The service provided by your staff was exceptional. We enjoyed the relaxing 3 night cruise. The only feedback we have in an age of technology is the outdated bar tab system they used when we were on board.
Anne and Martin April 2013
Kind regards, Mike April 2013
When we think about that cruise and look again and again at our photo’s, we are reminded of the time (18 years ago) that we dreamed of a cruise on the Murray! Finally we were able to do it and words cannot really do justice to this experience, you just have to do it. Service, meals, side trips, crew all first class as is the Murray Princess herself, a modern time machine creating a bygone era. Maybe a bit ott but you guys and gals have done Australia proud.
cheers, David & Philippa April 2013
We enjoyed the cruise very much. The food was excellent, and having several excursions of the cruise boat was very good as it kept you active.
Alan & Janna March 2013
Mum and I had a wonderful time on the Proud Mary trip last weekend.
Thank you to all the crew members, the bus driver and everyone in the office and behind the scenes.
Kind, thoughtful, funny, capable, competent.
It was very special for Mum and I, and you all worked so hard to make it happen.

The service we received from Cruise Murray was great and we would not hesitate to recommend your services to family & friends,
Lesley January 2013
Thank you for the opportunity to give you some feedback on the cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience on board…the crew were most helpful and friendly and could not do enough for the passengers. Our assigned table for dinner proved to be a very success mix of people, so much so that we are still corresponding with some. A highlight was the on shore BBQ with everyone getting to the spirit. A real highlight for Pauline and I was the optional Bush Breakfast…the atmosphere and fare were memorable. We have been asked by many people what we thought of the Murray Cruise and have had no hesitation in highly recommending it to all. Hopefully, a number will convert our conversations into bookings. We have recommended the four night cruise from Mannum.
With best wishes,

We are responding to your email Re our trip on PROUD MARY 25/1/\'13
We had a wonderful time, met some very nice people + relaxed which was most important for us.
The staff were wonderful, the food delicious + plentiful. Our cabin was roomy, clean + very comphy. In short, we enjoyed the trip immensely + will at some stage in the near future be booking again for our next trip. We have done this before with you + each time has been memorable, thanks to the staff mostly, They work very hard + always friendly.
Cheers Rosemary + Andrew. December 2012
Thank you again

The Murray was peaceful and serene with no chance of river sickness. The river banks were full of interest. We were relieved that the hordes of river boats were all more up. We would not have enjoyed the holiday if even half of them were travelling the river, let alone all of them!
Your support and help in reaching our correct decision is appreciated.
Terry and Leonie November 2012
The crew were magnificent - On a \"Value for money\" basis 20 out of 10

Thankyou for your care and service.

Thank you for organising the curise. We (all ten of us) had a great time. The crew were helpful, the food was very good, and we all had a very enjoyable time.
Robyn September 2012
The trip we had on the Murray River Cruise greatly exceed our expectations in many ways: the beauty of scenery, bird life and othe animals; folks that met; the hospitality and meals as well as the the various side excursions. Everything seemed truly authentic and certainly memorable. Thank you sincerely for a wonderful holiday.
Ian and Ruth September 2012
Yes, we had an enjoyable time. Food was AMAZING and met some lovely people, even though the age group was not quite what we expected. Luckily, we managed to end up with a great group of people at our table. The staff were lovely and even the younger more serious ones managed to crack smile by the end of the 7 days with a bit of coercion
Complete relaxation, although I did miss the occasional TV or radio music. The library fulfilled this need.
Had a good time and my hubby would certainly do another one.
Donna and Derek September 2012
Anne August 2012
Just to let you know that we had a really wonderful cruise on the Proud Mary in June. Can\'t fault anything at all and enjoyed every minute of it. The crew were outstanding and worked so hard. As for the chefs - simply wonderful. Thank you. What a beautiful part of Australia we just loved it.
Marilyn and John August 2012
Thank you, Elizabeth. August 2012
We had a great time on the cruise - I don\'t think there was anything that we could fault (maybe the bed was a little firm!) - but the service was spot on as well as the crew\'s attention (managed dinner with the captain) and our travelling companions were equally enthusiastic and great company - one couple had been 5 times!! Hopefully we will make this trip again in the future.
Carol July 2012
Yes, we were very happy with cruisemurray. If we ever decide to do that again, we would certainly book through you.
The cruise was fabulous and the crew were outstanding.
Thank you for your assistance,
Joan. July 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the cruise.
We are teetotalers and we were able to return our bottle of Champagne to the bar and get in return free orange juice for the duration of the cruise. It was little things like this that made the cruise more enjoyable. We were traveling with another couple. We also enjoyed joining in with the Salvation Army group. In all it was a very enjoyable trip.
The service was excellent all round.
Thanks, Colin July 2012
One thing I did forget to mention was that no one was told to look out for the sun setting on the cliffs, which were going from orange to red-amazing!- as the barbecue was on and when I came back and showed people my photos, they were so disappointed. This really was a highlight that most people missed!!!!
Kind regards, Marina June 2012
The whole seven days was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I took 2 books to read and read none of them. The optional extras of going ashore and doing and seeing things was great. We certainly did not think that \'lunch\' on the Barossa trip would be a sit down meal with white clothes etc. Nor that a thunder storm would add to the BBQ experience. We still went on the nocturnal experience in the rain and enjoyed it. The stop at Naught Naught gave us an insight into how the Aboriginals lived in the past. We enjoyed the entertainment by Bill Clarke more than the first guy (can\'t remember his name), and bought a couple of Bill Clarke\'s CD\'s as a memento.
Thank you for the opportunity of enjoying the Murray River. We had heard about the trip from other NZer\'s before we left and have now sung the praises of it since we have been home.
Phil & Raelene June 2012
Our trip was excellent. All on board the boat were wonderful and made our trip a great holiday, we loved Adelaide a wonderful city.
Many thanks to all, cheers Jan June 2012

We had a great time and the service was top class - what more can we say?

Anne March 2012
Yes, we really enjoyed our three days on the Murray River. The crew were exceptional and really couldn\'t do enough for you. The meals were lovely and the catering staff also were very pleasant and nothing was a trouble to them.
The Murray is truly a beautiful river to travel along and the onshore excursions were really good and informative. The barbecue night was great as was the entertainment.
The crew had good knowledge of the river and its surrounds which added another dimension to the trip. Not only was it relaxing & enjoyable it was also informative and helped you gain a better understanding of the area.
It is a holiday I would love to do again and I certainly have recommended it to friends.
Regards, Ken & Lorraine March 2012
Kind regards David March 2012
We had such a wonderful time, only problem was it was not long enough :)
The staff were fantastic, the boat was immaculate, the food was just amazing and we were treated so very well. I can not wait to do the 5 night cruise soon.
Vicki March 2012
Thank you for your email
Its hard to start to tell you how much I enjoyed myself except to say that without doubt this would have to be the best holiday I think I have ever had. I have travelled extensively throughout Australia as well as overseas and reaching the ripe old age of 61 I feel I can speak from experience.
From the time I set foot on the Murray Princess until the time I disembarked nothing was too much trouble for the crew. I have done my fair share of cruising on the Sun Princess however the Murray Princess is streets ahead. I felt we were one big happy family, all the passengers seemed to get on well with each other I guess I was lucky.
The crew are to be commended , everyone from the kitchen hand through to the captain socialised with the passengers and by doing this it made the experience all that much better. If I had one complaint it was the food \"\' Too Much\"\' it was tasty and always served with a smile ,I liked the variety which made the eating experience very pleasurable
The entertainment was excellent and I would sit with my friends I had met and have a few drinks enjoying the music. Things like the trivia night was great as well as the fancy dress night even if you didn\'t get involved it was funny to see some of the outfits people were wearing. The crew put on a show and it was great fun, everyone got involved this is what I enjoyed about \"small ship cruising \"\'
I went on this cruise with a fair amount of trepidation , I lost my dear wife in November last year she had been battling a terminal illness and I had been caring for her 24/7 ,then in February I lost my mum at the age of 99. I would have to say for the seven days on the Murray River I felt I was in a better place , it took my mind away from what I had been through I am very grateful for that
In closing two members of the crew deserve special mention , Cruise Director Sue Graham and Bar Manager/Cruise Director Andrew Kerr both New Zealanders but I don\'t hold that against them , they we great fun and a pleasure to be with.
It would be appreciated if you could pass these comments onto Captain Cook Cruises as I like to give credit were its due. If you wish to use any of the above remarks on the website I am happy for you to do so
Denis February 2012
Thank you for your recent Email - My husband and I loved our Cruise on the Murray - we met some lovely people - the food was great and the activities first class. Everything about the Cruise was fantastic and we were very lucky we had marvellous weather - I would also like to thank the very friendly crew members. Best holiday ever.

Seems like a distant memory now.
You have a great day too..
Jean December 2011
My husband & I had a terrific cruise. We couldn\'t think of a better way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We met some great people including the staff, had lots of laughs, ate too much food & forgot about the outside world. We were well looked after & thought everything was well organised. Please pass on our appreciation & best wishes to the staff of the Murray Princess. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning our next trip with you in 3 years time.
Keep up the great work Captain Cook cruises & we look forward to travelling again with you.
Ross & Lori December 2011
We had a fantastic trip and the service and food was A++ and we have not stopped telling everyone how friendly and helpful all the staff was. It was also great to see the Murray looking so good.
Carl and Pam.
ps. Pam says Hi to Captain Weedon. December 2011
we have just returned from a fabulous trip on the Princess. The food, boat, crew, trip were wonderful and Brian was treated with great respect and assistance. Nothing was too much trouble and it was more than we could ever imagine. Thank you for all your help ensuring we were on board for the weekend. Brians health is failing and the July date would not have been possible. Again thank you for everything you did to make this trip possible.
Brian and Judi June 2011
Yes we had a wonderful time on the cruise. It was the most relaxing time that we have had whilst away from home.
On board the Murray Princess our table in the dining room was regarded as the most rowdy, as that was due to the many jokes that were being passed around.
The group on that table (2) clicked together very well and made the trip all the better, we never stopped laughing.
The meals were wonderful, they could not be faulted, congratulations to the Chefs and the kitchen staff. The rest of the staff were equally good and attentive to all our needs.
Fay and I have no complaints what so ever and the accommodation was very satisfactory . We both had a camera each To give us many memories. Fay took 319 photos and I took 297, so now we have lots of memories to last for many years.
Thankyou again for that wonderful experience .
Cheers for now,

My family had one of the best holidays ever on the Murray Princess and we all agree that we will take the 4 night trip same time next year.
The service from Cruise Murray was exceptional. All queries deal with promptly and efficiently. We would definitely book with you again.
We loved the pace of the river, no mobile phones, no TV or radio. Just the sounds of nature.
The crew entertained us each evening, the food was amazing and plentiful.
It was my parents 63 wedding anniversary and to be able to celebrate with their children and grandchildren for 3 days was very special.
Looking forward to our next trip on the Murray Princess!

Yes we both enjoyed our experience cruising the River Murray in February, good food and enjoyable company and entertainment. The crew were very approachable and friendly, mixing with everyone. Good to tie up and explore places along the shore. Great sceenery along the way - very relaxing, with plenty to do also. A good time to experience the cruise with all the water flowing and filling the wetlands.

Loved the smaller size of boat and lesser number of people, and thoroughly enjoyed everything.
It was a truly awesome few days.
With best regards

So thankyou.. a very memorable, wonderful holiday.

Yes, we really enjoyed the cruise. The food was excellent and I really appreciated the trouble the chef went to in accommodating my special diet. We especially enjoyed the ecology trip and talk in the small boat and the indigenous people\'s talk.
The booking experience was also trouble free. The best bit is that we found you by accident and are very glad we did. It was a very relaxed trip. The smaller number of travellers and the one class of cabins on the boat is a big help in making it more friendly.

Thank you for your follow up.
The 4 of us did enjoy the cruise and the many sub adventures that were part of it.
The Staff on board the Murray Princess looked after us very well and we also got to meet, and spend time, with many of our fellow travelers.

I can\'t speak highly enough of the fantastic week we spent on the Murray River Cruise. We were looked after, entertained and fed!! extremely well. Starting from the beds made while we were enjoying a HUGE breakfast, right through the day until we returned to our cabin at night to find the beds turned back, bed lamps turned on, copy of the next day\'s activities and a chocolate on the pillow! The tours also, were very well done and very interesting. We haven\'t had so much fun for a long time!
We made good friends from all over Australia, and even overseas. The week went all too quickly, and we hope to do it again sometime in the future.

In response to this email I would like to thank the Murray Princess staff for a wonderful weekend. My sister and I tranvelled with our father who at the time had just been diagnosed with throat and esophagus cancer. The staff were only too happy to assist in making
food that our father could eat. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on our three night cruise. Sadly our father passed away on the 4th April but our memories of our Adelaide holiday are now more special than ever.
Thanks once again

A note to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our short trip on the River Murray
Princess over the 23 January weekend. The staff were very helpful and
friendly. The information we received each day about our surrounds very much
enhanced our experience. 16 passengers allowed for excellent service and plenty of room for

During the Australia Day Weekend of 2009, I purchased a 7 day cruise aboard
the Murray Princess.
This was to be my husband\'s 60th birthday present, and it was an EXCELLENT
one! What a delightful time we both had aboard this vessel. We could not be
more pleased with every aspect of the cruise.
I wish to pass my thanks onto Rose-Anne Fletcher who handled the reservation
details in the first inst. Vanessa Tickle who organised the birthday cake as
a surprise for my husband, Phil! It was wonderful!
To Capt. Peter Hunter and all the crew, in particular Katy who handled the
mooring of the vessel. She is a treasure, and it was not just myself and
Phil who made the comment \'she made us feel safe using the gangplank\'! also
Ryan who served our table well throughout the cruise with a professional
approach but with humour as well, and the \'chocolate fairy\' who left the
little treats upon our pillows each evening, as well as the Easter Eggs.
The meals were a delight, thank you to Ian the Chef and all his kitchen
And to all and each of the crew, and we had a changeover during our 7 days,
so there were a lot of them, we cannot thank you enough for making this trip
a special one for me and in particular, for my husband Phil.
The Murray Princess is well manned and well managed. I can only hope to enjoy all of this again sometime.
